Conflicts?

Conflicts?

My page does not load correctly. My template provider says to disable components.  Not an answer I like hearing.  I'm sure it's not unreasonable in terms of testing, and possibly in terms of "if javascript clashes we can't overcome those obstacles we didn't write Javascript".  Never the less i don't like hearing sacrifice functionality for form.

Anyway, one of the components that loads JS is Jlinked and Jconnect.  Can I have some input from you guys as to whether they could be conflicting?

If you see the 3 black boxes, they should raise on hover.  It happens sometimes, but not for the last one.  Sometimes you have to refresh.  Could that be anything to do with a conflict here?  If not there is only one final product I can rule out. current/sad

Re: Conflicts?

Eoin,
Sorry for the delay. On your page, at the top, I'm seeing 2 MySQL errors. They are being placed before the opening html and head elements. I'd first try to determine the cause of that error or at lease disable Error Reporting on the front-end. Having text display outside the proper html locations can cause Javascript to go funky. The error is very generic though, so I can't tell what extension is throwing it.

Beyond that, there's a lot of JS errors on the page, all seeming to come from templates/corporate_response/js/s5_info_slide.js. I'm not sure what's causing those errors, but that script can't seem to find a lot of the elements it's looking for.

To disable JFBConnect or JLinked, I'd try disabling the system plugins for each of those. That will prevent the Javascript that we load from being inserted into the page and effectively disable them for your testing purposes. Obviously, check the output to make sure our JS is missing, but I think that will help eliminate (or narrow down) our extensions as the cause.

Let us know how it goes, and best of luck,
Alex

Re: Conflicts?

Is it just the authentification plugins that I need to disable?

Re: Conflicts?

No, the System plugins. That disables almost all of our functionality and will prevent the Javascript files from being loaded.

Hope that helps,
Alex
