Topic-icon Skip Entry of name during registration

We have bought your component to make registration to our website as painless as possible. Initial impressions are good and installation was a breeze.

We have hidden email field, username and password field on registration.
However during registration the user is still asked to enter their name. Is it possible to skip this step as well and just pull the name from linked in. That would amke registration to our website even more straight forward.

Many thanks for a great component!

First off, thanks for the compliments on the extension and sorry for this delayed response.

You should be able to hide that field using CSS right now, but there is no method to 'skip' that registration page yet. The next release of JLinked, v2.0, will have the ability for a fully 'automatic' registration where there are no forms. That feature has been a part of JFBConnect (our Facebook extension) for years, but LinkedIn didn't allow us to import email address until recently (with the v1.3 release). Until then, auto-account generation was impossible.

So, unfortunately, I think to do what you want you'll have to wait for the next release. We're hoping to have 2.0 out by the end of the year, but timelines change as features do, so please don't hold me to that.

Hope that helps explain, and if you need anything else, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
