You can't change the alignment of the widgets. They are fixed by LinkedIn and they use an iFrame to display their content. iFrames do not allow for CSS overrides and stylesheets and so therefore, you can't change how the widgets look. That's intentionally done by LinkedIn as they want their widgets to display the same on every site which is better for trust and for LinkedIn branding.
As for your recommendations, with our Profile plugins, you can import your or your user's recommendations into a 3rd party profile system like JomSocial, Community Builder, etc and then display those recommendations however you'd like.
