Hi

I am having trouble getting jlinked working as smoothly as Facebook connect.

The linked in login button was working fine, it has since disappeared leaving {jlinked login} code in its place. Not sure if I have changed something in the back end.

The problem is likely to be connected to the fact that I cannot get the jlinked member and jlinked company profile modules to display anything.

Hope you can help

Can you try changing the ordering of the JLinked System and JFBConnect System plugins? There are some sites where having one or the other first helps. We're investigating why that's the case, but hopefully, it should fix you up.

Also, if you're using the System - Cache plugin, make sure it is the last (highest numbered) position. It should execute after all other plugins.

Hope that helps, but if not, let us know!

Hi

Just tried that but it doesn't seem to have worked. If you like I could give you my login and you could have a look around.

I think I may be close to working out the problem.

the Facebook connect config page lists the SC login as 1.0.2 installed 1.0.2. available. both are green and it works fine

The Jlinked config page lists the SC login as 1.0.2 installed but in RED! 1.0.1 available in green.

Could this be a conflict between the two components for the correct version of the login form?

The difference in SCLogin versions shouldn't be causing this issue. There was a minor, minor update to fix an obscure issue with Community Builder in the 1.0.2 version of SCLogin module. It shouldn't affect the login button at all. If you want to install the 'newest' version just to test, you can simply re-install JFBConnect which has the latest version.

Can you post (or PM) the URL for your site? If we can see where the Login button should be, that will probably help fix the issue. It's likely a routing issue for locating our CSS file, which helps draw the Login With LinkedIn button.. but could be other things (like not properly detecting JLinked being installed). If we can see the page, that will help narrow things down.

Thanks,
Alex

I just registered on the site. Please feel free to upgrade my user (sourcecoast) to a super admin.

The only other thing I can think of that could be the problem is if you have an "Admin Render Key" set in the Social Configuration area, Misc tab of JLinked. Likely not the problem though. Either way, we'll help you figure it out!

Thanks,
Alex

Great Ill upgrade you now.

Funny you should mention about the admin key. I had noted that things went wrong after I set one. I removed it after I noticed the problem but it made no difference.

Best of luck.

You must think you're awfully sneaky, eh? :) We figured out the issue.. The JLinked - System plugin was set as "Registered" for the access level. Therefore, it simply wasn't executing if the user wasn't logged in.

That took a bit of poking around to finally notice. We added an admin key to both extensions, but you're free to change them however you want.

Hopefully, that gets you going, but if you run into other issues, just let us know. Also, please downgrade our user so we're no longer super admins.

Thanks,
Alex

Mate thanks so much!

I never would have twigged that this was the problem. I need to start making work logs or something so that I know what Im messing around with.

Sorry for the hassle, hopefully you won't here from me again soon.
