Hi,

After upgrade to the last versions of JFBConnect, the redirection is not working in the registration process using social media buttons. I already check the redirection at JFBConnect and jomsocial redirection plugin and everything looks fine. Also, the automatic registration with JomSocial is enable, but is loading the jomsocial registration fields instead to redirect to the content. Some ideas how to fix it? You can check the problem at www.atjump.com

Thank you!

Can you please clarify exactly what steps you are taking, what you're expecting, and the values you've set for the New User Redirection field?

On your page, I used the SCLogin module at the top and clicked its Facebook button to create an account. My account was automatically created (not shown any registration fields) and then brought me to the www.atjump.com/en/ page. This seemed to work as expected if you have automatic registration enabled, assuming that this link or 'Same Page' is what you've set as the New User Redirection value.

Thanks
-Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for your answer. The idea is after user registration, is a menu item "myJump!" (the Item alias is the same menu name) we choose as a redirection at JFBConnect and SCLogin. Also, after login as Returning User Redirection, the redirection is to another menu item "Welcome to myJump!" (the Item alias is the same menu name Welcome-to-myJump!).

The automatic registration for JomSocial is enable at JFBConnect, so the idea after registration using social media buttons, users wouldn't have to complete the JomSocial registration form, just be redirected to the menu item I mentioned before.

Cheers

I just tried to register as well. I never saw the JomSocial registration page. Instead, I was brought back to your home page with the following system message that appeared briefly and then vanished:

Facebook profile successfully connected.
You are not authorised to view this resource.

I am logged in at this point, so things seem correct.

If I go to www.atjump.com/en/my-jump I'm immediately redirected back to the home page.

To me, it seems like there's a permissions issue with the my-jump menu item (or whatever you've set as your redirection URL) or there is something else (like the JomSocial redirect plugin) which is trying to force the user somewhere else. Try disabling that plugin altogether to see what happens.

As for the JomSocial registration flow, I'm not seeing that. If you are, it probably means that you're logging in with a social network account using an email address that already exists for a Joomla user on your site *and* you don't have the "Automatically link users by email address" setting enabled. In that case, the only thing JFBConnect can do is let the user register manually and add a different email address.

I hope that helps,
Alex
