Hello there,

First of all, I love your app, works well, lots of tutorials, explanations and support seems excellent which is good for a guy like me with limited knowledge in programming!

I would like to know if it is possible to integrate the Like/Share buttons in Kunena to have topic in Kunena posted on the user Facebook wall once liked or shared? If yes, is there is a tutorial somewhere explaining the step by step? I did not really find anything and I am struggling with the open graph... I don't really understand the principle behind that :(

I would love if you could help me a bit with this.

Thank you very much.

Dominic

Dominic,
Sorry for the delay. The easiest way to add the social buttons to Kunena is the following:
* Go to the Joomla module manager
* Create a new instance of the JFBCSocialShare module
* Configure that how you want on the right (what buttons to show and leave the "Position" as "Fixed"
* Set the module to display in any of the following positions:
kunena_bottom (will be under all threads)
kunena_topictitle (will be in the same area as the topic)
kunena_announcement( will be at the top)
kunena_msg_1 (will be after the first post. Can also do _2, _3, etc if you want it after the 2nd or 3rd post)

Then, make sure the module is set to show on all pages.

That should get you going, but you'll have to tweak settings in the module to get them going how you want.

Please let us know how that goes. We'll add a document with the same instructions as well, but would love your feedback first.

Thanks,
Alex

No worries and Thanks for the reply!

I followed your instruction and it worked for me! : )

I used the one that shows the Social Integration at the bottom which is easier to handle compare to the msg_1 msg_2 etc.

I am still learning, your app is well done and contains a lot of options lol! If you want to have a look my site is: www.coptalk.ca/

Don't forget, this is a network guy building a website so don't be too hard on me! ;)

Awesome! Very glad to hear that got you going. The social module we recommended is something we just added in v5.2. Glad to see it already getting some good use. We need to document it a bit more. We will be adding a documentation page for it, and how to add those buttons to Kunena like you did, soon.

The site itself looks great to me. Seems well laid out and lots of content. For the Kunena forums, we just updated the Kunena social login document with pictures of both options for adding the social buttons. I think yours looks fine, but wanted to point out the other horizontal look of the buttons, if interested.

Everyone starts somewhere, and Joomla (and hopefully JFBConnect) make that easier. Should you have any feedback on improvements we could make to features, options, general configuration and setup, or documentation, just let us know. We're always looking for ways to improve both in features and simplicity.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks, and best of luck,
Alex
