Hello, I create new topic, because I bought it.

So finally I have same problems with login/registration:
1.) I set-up login, that show possibility to use social buttons to login. If come new user and try to use social login, receive answer, that he does not fulfil words correctly in reCaptcha. I am using also ajax registration for people which do not have or do not want to connect these social account to my site.

2.) ...as I mention in pre-seller post, if I as SuperAdmin use that login (connect social account to my Joomla account), everything run OK, but I am not able to log in to phpBB CP, show me error - wrong password. If I change manually in Joomla backend my password, I am able to log in to CP, and so, but in moment, when I use FB login again, even it was connected previously, occur same problem with login to CP in phpBB
//finally this is solved by switching parameter "Generate Random Password" to NO

thanks for answer PeterB

Peter,
Glad to see you subscribed. It sounds like issue #2 is resolved above from your last line, which is great to hear. I know logging into phpBB was an important issue for you.

For captcha, I just tried to register and I am seeing the message: "Chyba - Slová ktoré ste zadali sa nezhodujú so zobrazenými. Skúste to prosím znovu." Can you tell me what you have configured for captcha on your site? Are you using the built-in Joomla captcha, or are you using a 3rd party extension to implement captcha? We definitely work with the built-in Joomla captcha, but it's possible you need to change some of those settings to get it to work properly.

Let me know what you're using and we'll gladly help investigate.

Thanks,
Alex

Morning (I guess you have morning),

yes, problem nr2 is solved :) ...just I do not know, how then registered people can log in to my site, if they can not log in to facebook (i.e. in work) - but this was my main issue.

I was play around little bit, components looks very good, I need to study so much and set-it up, really thanks for good job.

Now jump to last issue:
I have reCaptcha in Joomla switched off and I ause reCaptcha from component ajaxregistration (if I switch off reCaptcha in this component registration is possible) - it is definitely Captcha from ajaxregistration.

I have open that view I actually add FB and G+ login there and some text to visitors - short explanation.

I have reCaptcha in Joomla switched off and I ause reCaptcha from component ajaxregistration (if I switch off reCaptcha in this component registration is possible) - it is definitely Captcha from ajaxregistration.

I'm not sure what they're doing, but it sounds like their reCaptcha is not behaving properly if it's working on 'our' login. It shouldn't try to insert itself into other login flows or, at least if it does, it should be an option that can be disabled. Since we don't have any forms to fill out during Automatic registration, there's no way for the user to fill out the captcha. Again, the built-in Joomla reCaptcha option does work with JFBConnect and has been tested extensively. Not saying you need to switch to that captcha, more just telling you that it can work and you should approach the Ajaxregistration developers to let them know there is a conflict.

now I have also problem with ajaxregistration component current/sad (terms of use)

Not sure what you mean by a 'terms of use' issue. It's likely not any of my business, but their extension has to be GPL which means there are very few terms of use rules that they can impose on you.

Either way, keep me posted on things, and we'll help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Morning Alex,

conflict was reCaptcha but not Joomla plugin, even not ajaxregistration, but K2 reCaptcha. I look for this phrase which you receive after failed registration with Facebook and I recognize it in K2 language *.ini file...

...but anyway thank you for your cooperation, I have more questions, but I will play little-bit more before I will post it.

B.R. PeterB

PS: anyway component, looks very good, but I need to study, both FB and component
PSS: term of use problem is not connected to your component - user should confirm, that he read terms of use and even they are marked, user receive error, that are not marked - but again, is not your component :)

...so just finalize this:

If you connect FB account to my site, in application on FB is setted visibility "only me". I was dig around application on FB and set to "visible to my friends", but anyway when you connect FB account with Joomla, application is setted to "only me" visibility and all your "likes" has same visibility... if you delete permission for that application, "likes" are visible as in application.
I try with 2 accounts and same result, I forgot for something in set-up, but I do not know, for what.

Captcha
Whew! Glad to hear you found the cause of the Captcha issues and got registration/login going. Hopefully, that's working how you want now.

PS: anyway component, looks very good, but I need to study, both FB and component

Glad to hear it. There are a lot of features in JFBConnect and we always recommend going slowly implementing what you need.

PSS: term of use problem is not connected to your component

Gotcha. I thought you meant that, by using their extension, you were violating some terms of use restriction that the developer had placed on the component. Best of luck getting this going.

Activity Visibility

Go to the Facebook App Developer Area , click into your App and go to Settings -> Permissions and set "Default Activity Privacy" to "Public" or "Friends Only".

I hope that helps,
Alex

I found that set-up, and I change it, but result is same (I experience problems from beginning and I change these set-up - in my profile work OK, but it was only connecting with existing user in Joomla, but today, when I solve Captcha problem, I connect my wife FB account and one other - test account - and both have app as only me :( )

I really do not know what to do...

Peter,
I've done a little digging as to what may be the cause, and it honestly seems like a bug with Facebook that the default permission isn't being used. However, there does look to be a solution you can try. Please go to the Configuration -> Facebook configuration area of JFBConnect. In the "Additional Permissions Request" box, enter "publish_actions".

The "Like" button seems to be using the App settings for the user when it's used. When you set the publish_actions permission, it sets up your app to be able to publish content on the users behalf and should then start using your default permissions settings.

The publish_actions setting does request another permission from the user. That permission is also used for our Open Graph Action features, in case you're planning on using those as well.

I hope that helps get you going, but if not, let me know,
Alex
