I take it you're happy with that decision? :)

We're glad we moved away from it too. There's a lot of cool things we can do in our Javascript now. There's some minor headaches we're going through with jQuery conflicts with other extensions, but we'll work those out. Joomla 3.x makes that easier by having a shared jQuery that all can use.. Joomla 2.5 isn't as easy.

As always, keep us posted if you run into any issues or have any feedback or suggestions.

Yes I am very happy. I did an unexpected upgrade of my personal project from Joomla 2.5 to 3.1.5 just to get rid of Mootools for good (well, except for the Contacts pages :/ ). Now the only extension on my site using Mootools is RokSprocket. I am currently looking for a JQuery replacement for it.

I am running the following JQuery extensions:

Jreviews
NoNumber Sliders
JFBConnect

No problems (yet), no conflicts, all using the core Joomla JQuery script from the /media/ folder.

Glad to hear it's working well so far. We did exhaustive testing in a lot of different cases. Also, we released the SCLogin module back in March using jQuery to test the 'conflict waters' and see how things would go. Joomla 3.x, again, is much simpler because of the shared jQuery available. Man, I wish Joomla 2.5 had such an option.. which, is why we've used Mootools until now.
