Hello,

I found that the default opengraph setting doesn't support UTF-8 (specificlly Vietnamese) in Joomla 3:
screencast.com/t/A8Pky5q5iAyW
danhgia.net

It works well in joomla 2.5. Please help.

Thanks,
Giang Anh

Anh,
That information should be stored the same way in JFBConnect v2.5 or 3.x. The only thing I can think of that may be the problem is that the jfbconnect_config table wasn't created using the UTF-8 character set. JFBConnect creates its tables using the default character set and collation defined for your MySQL database.

You'll need to check what the character set is for our tables and make sure they are set to UTF-8. From what you describe above, it looks like they are set for latin characters.

There are tools for Joomla to check tables and update the character set (like Akeeba Admin Tools) as well as ways to check using direct queries.

I hope that helps, but if you need more help, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Glad that helped. We've added a task to our to-do list to investigate overriding the default table type in the future and making it UTF8. I don't think there should be any issues with that and likely the right way to go.

Thanks for the feedback, and should you need anything else, just let us know.
