Hello,

I have had a problem with FB Like button on my K2 Items... The FB Like button is not working at all.

I've tried the FB debug tool on one of those k2 items urls and I've got response code: 200

I turned off the Gzip Page Compression in Joomla configuration, and it magically worked and now it is working like a charm.

Now after it worked I've tried the url on FB debug tool and now I got response code : 206

Did anyone faced such a problem by any chance?

I just want to correct things up, seems it has nothing to do with gzip, but looks like when I checked the url with FB debug tool, the like button worked on this url only.
but other urls did not. till I check them in the debug tool.

So the solution was to check the url in the FB debug tool 1st, then I go back to that url on my page and I click the Like button and it magically works!

One thing I realized is sometimes I get a message on the FB popup window saying that this url is not reachable .

The Facebook URL Debug Tool will refresh the cache for any URLs you use it on. If it fixes the page that you tested it on, that means that their cached data for your page was incorrect for some reason and re-running it through the tool helped fix that.

That's not uncommon for new pages on your site where it can take Facebook a day or so to detect and scan the page. In general, Facebook will keep up with new content on your site and add it periodically and things will usually fix themselves if you just wait a few days.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Well that make sense, as we've lately changed the page domain name from a sub-domain to the domain name.

Many thanks for your answer.
