Hi Alex,

I want to automatically post on the user FB timeline, every time the user login in our Joomla website, using the JFBConnect.

I've configured the following action and object in FB App Page:
Action --> graph.facebook.com/me/powpayrj:execute?
Object --> meta property="og:type" content="powpayrj:login"

In the Joomla, I've created the following items in the JFBConnect: Open Graph:

New Object
Extension: custom
Layout: custom
Name: Login
Object Type: login
Buil-in FB: No
URL Query Parameters:
option=com_user
view=login
Open Graph tags: (blank)

New Action
Title: Executar Login
Action: execute
Built-in FB: No
Object Association: checked the Login
Unique Action: Allow Multiple
Frequency: 2 - Hours
Allow Disable: Yes

However, when I proceed with the login, it does not work.

Can you help me on that?

Regards,
Rafael

I also have tried with the URL Query Parameters with value:
option=com_login
task=login

Rafael,
You shouldn't do that. Facebook won't approve actions that occur simply when a user registers or logs in to your site. They feel it's not rich enough content. They want actions to be actual engagement with content on your site, like an article, video, review, etc.

I hope that helps explain. I'm sure there are ways to make an Open Graph Action trigger on login, but since it won't be approved (according to their guidelines), I wouldn't recommend spending much time on it.

Thanks Alex

I will try to find any other "event" which can be used instead of login.

However, as previously discussed between us, it is a little bit complicated, as my website use a lot of modules based on Jumi (to use PHP within the modules).

I will try something here, and let you know (as I'm sure I will have some doubts... :)))

Cheers
Rafael

Rafael,
You should still be able to trigger actions on different events from the visitor, but it will definitely depend on how they interact with your site. The next release of JFBConnect will have easy to implement buttons that a user can click on to post an action (along with a message, location and friends if you want) to their Timeline.

Hope that helps, but let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Alex
