When the Facebook share button is clicked on a K2 article, some code is added instead of the intro text.
I'm using the latest K2 install and Joomla 3.1.1 ... I've attached an image to illustrate the issue.
the site is bluzink.com

Can you go into the Configuration area of JFBConnect and in the Misc area, enable the "Strip tags from header" setting. Once enabled, that should remove those tags from the meta description area on your pages.

After set, you'll want to run a page through the Facebook URL Debug Tool and check that the description shows correctly there. If so, you should be set.

Hope that helps, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Nope, still not working. I had checked that earlier, but it makes no difference.

Can you post (or Private Message) a link to a page where this is happening on then? We'd need to see what's happening in the HTML to better diagnose the problem.

Thanks,
Alex

I just tried with that post you linked to, and I got a 'good' description when I tried to share it:
File Attachment:

For any pages you're having problems with, try running them through the Facebook URL Debug Tool . That will have Facebook re-scan the page and possibly fix any issues that may have temporarily been there.

Hope that helps,
Alex

this is very strange. I've made no changes to the configuration. the oddity seems to be sporadic ... could there be a delay in the way the tags are stripped/ignored. Or have something to do with the caching? thanks fro your attention on this.

If you're using the System - Cache plugin, make sure it's the last (highest numbered) plugin. Otherwise, it will cache the results of the page before other plugins have been able to make their modifications. Once changed, clear your Joomla cache and try again.

If that's not it, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
