JFBConnect 5.0 is out.
Reading the future of JFBConnect here www.sourcecoast.com/blog/extensions/facebook-for-joomla-3
I noted "Automatic posting of articles to your favorite Social Networks"

As I asked in past here www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...ph-auto-tweet-ng-pro
Does it mean that JFBConnect will have same features like Auto Tweet NG Pro ?
So, I'll need only JFBConnect to work :=D
It will be multichannel?
Please, is too important for me, When it is planned?

We don't have definite timelines on things yet. The first stage will be Twitter Authentication / profile import, which should be in the next big release (~April). Then Google+ Authentication after that. The good thing is that G+ should be pretty simple once we have Twitter integrated, because we'll do it in a way that more can be added easily.

Then, we'll be focusing on the auto-posting features. It's possible things will get shifted, we'll decide that auto-posting is more important that G+, or that it's easier than we expected (and so therefore get done earlier). I wouldn't expect an April timeframe, but it will definitely be done by years end. That's a wide span, no doubt, and we'll be looking to make it as early as possible.

One final note... I've never seen or used Auto Tweet NG Pro. I really don't know its features and we don't plan to copy it or anything like that. So, I can't guarantee we'll be a direct replacement, but the goal will be methods to automatically post content from your site to "social networks". The first pass will likely be rudimentary.. later releases will add more features.

Hope that all helps explain,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Many Thanks, an April first release would be too appreciate :=D also if rudimentary

After that, multichannel ( www.extly.com/autotweet-ng-pro.html#features ) is a need, thinking to give a way to my "editors" to auto post an their FB pages/groups etc. and usually an editor have more than one page where to post...

After that, a personal opinion: I prefer to have before a G+ integration than Twitter... and the Auto publish multichannel feature than the two integrations :)

I understand where your coming from in your priorities. Other users may feel the same way as well. However, from a development standpoint, it's much easier to get authentication to a network going before doing the posting to that network. Once authentication is done, we'll be able to store the user's access token and then use that to post on their behalf.

Without doing that first, we'd have to have the user go through a bunch of mundane steps, get a token, paste it 'somewhere' and do a lot of validation for that token. There are other ways, but we really don't like kludgy stuff where we can avoid it.

So, authentication will be first, then auto-posting. Maybe after Twitter auth, we'd start on auto-posting to FB and Twitter and then G+ auth and then add G+ posting as well. Not sure of exact ordering, but I hope you get the idea.

As always, thoughts and feedback are welcome!

Thanks,
Alex
