Topic-icon Channel configuration issue (JFBConnetct 8.3.1)

Dear Sourcecoast,
But I try to ask you help again re-writing the following message I sent in a previous e-mail (7th July).

“after autotune succeeded thanks to your kind support, I tried to create a Facebook Page channel.
Following your website docs I enabled SCLogin in order to insert FB App Admin in joomla user database (Alessia Garbin).
I put FB App in development mode. Then I started to create channel: when I selected the FB App Admin (Alessia Garbin) in Channel Owner field, I received the following message

“The selected user has not granted the 'manage_pages' permission. Please have them login on the front-end of the site and accept the correct permission. If you have not gone through the app review process for these permissions, ensure your Facebook Application is in development mode.”

I read in your forum but they said to put FB App in development mode that I already did.”

I read your forum and tutorial but I wasn’t able to go on.
Please, can you help me?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards
Marco

It sounds like you are close now. To get the manage_pages permission, it's a few step process that you have to take:
1) Done - Authenticate with Facebook on your Joomla site.
2) Done - Setup the Channel in JFBConnect and select a Facebook user who is the administrator of your Facebook app. At this point, you should see the message you show above about requiring the manage_pages permission
3) Set your App in Development Mode
4) Authenticate again on the front-end of your Joomla site. At this point, you should see a prompt for the manage_pages permission.

Please let me know if that helps or if you still do not see the extra permissions prompt when you try to login. If you see other error messages or notices when you login, let us know those as well.

Finally, just a reminder that you *must* be trying to login with the Facebook Administrator of your Facebook Application as well as the owner of the Facebook Page. It cannot be just the owner of the Page.

I hope that helps,
Alex

bus SCLogin is not available in modules list:

If it's not showing up in the list, that means that the module instance that's created by default when you install was deleted. It's simple enough to fix. Use the "New" button at the top and create another instance of the SCLogin module. You can configure it to go in whatever module position works along with the settings that fit your site best.

The module manager lets you create as many instances of a module as you want.. so you can have an SCLogin configuration specifically setup for pages A, B and C and all styled or configured differently for those pages.

I hope that helps, but if you need anything else, don't hesitate to reach out. Even if your subscription expired, we want to help get you going!

Thanks,
Alex

I am having a similar issue, but my issue is that i never get the prompt mentioned above

" Authenticate again on the front-end of your Joomla site. At this point, you should see a prompt for the manage_pages permission."

/edit never mind. I see my problem. Why do I have to have an App Icon? That is the stupidest part of this. Can't submit for review without one, can't get manage pages without review...stupid.
