I'm sorry for the trouble. We had another user report this issue last month, but we're unable to investigate it further. The solution in that case was for the user to re-word the opening sentence to their article. Somehow, our tag parsing was having issue with their original sentence. They changed the sentence before we could copy it down to get an idea of what was going wrong.
We'll do some testing with the tag below to see if it breaks on a development site for us. If so, that will make it easy to diagnose the cause and implement a fix.

In the meantime, if possible, try adding an intro or changing the text at the beginning of your article. It's possible it's the <br/> or something else in the first paragraph that is the issue, though normally, those are stripped fine by our code.
Either way, we'll keep you posted on what we find.
