Topic-icon Custom Object still posting to channel, even though it is not selected

Added a new category the other day for slideshow of quotes... created a custom object for the Category and it is NOT selected in the AutoPost section for my channels, yet it is still bloody autoposting!

I've had quite a few of these set up for a while, and generally they work. Not sure what is up with this one.

I'd recommend disabling all Objects, temporarily, to see if it posts. Then, re-enable each object one by one until you find the Object that is actually causing the post. I don't know how many objects you have setup, but hopefully, that's not too time consuming.

Once you narrow that down, we can likely help further depending on the settings.

Please note though that objects have a parental relationship with categories. So, if you have a structure like:
Root
- Cat 1
--- Cat 2
--- Cat 3
- Cat 4

If you setup an object for Cat 1, it will auto post objects in cat 2 and 3 as well. If you don't want those sub-categories to post, you'll need to create an object for them as well and just not assign that sub-category object to the Channel.

Thought I had it... but no.

This is a top level category to avoid complications. The object is based on the category. There is nothing above it that would be cascading down to post.

Sorry I mentioned the wrong category in my PM. The Category and Custom Object are both called Quotes. I think the Black Book stuff works fine. Had problems with that once upon a time, but I believe they were fixed.

I'm so sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I just got into the admin area of your site to investigate more. I don't see any reason that the content from the category you PM'd me about should be auto-posting.

Can you confirm that it still is autoposting? I went to the JFBConnect -> Channels -> History area. In there, on page 6, item #120, I see an article from that category did autopost back in June. However, since then, I don't see any other records of an article in that category posting. In the Joomla Article manager, the last article published to that category was 2018-06-08. Since then, there's been no new content and there's no record in the Channel History of even a test article being posted (if you created a test article in that category and deleted it, I believe it would still show in the History tab).

So, for now, I can't see any reason it would autopost. If you can give me some steps on what you're doing and how best I can test, I'll gladly investigate further. I don't want to start autoposting content to your feed though without you being aware it may happen. It's definitely baffling that you said you disabled 'everything' and it still autoposted. If you could explain what you disabled, that may help understand as well.

Again, sorry for the delay, but we'll gladly help investigate however we can once we understand how to test more.
