Hi,

I had entered right API key and secret when I try to login/register to www.blabber.buzz usin instgram login link, it throws following error:

{"error_type": "OAuthException", "code": 400, "error_message": "Invalid Client ID"}

May i know issue behind this error and how to fix it?

Thanks

The only reason we're aware of that you could see that error is if you enter a wrong Client or Secret ID. Can you double check that you've copied the whole string and did not include any trailing spaces or other characters. We can help investigate further if you're sure you've got it right, but there's not much I'd know to go off of based on that message.

In the worst case, try creating a new Instagram application and trying again. If that still doesn't work, please send us the app and secret key for the new/test application and we'll be able to test if those keys work for us. If so, that would indicate a conflict with some other extension that may be trying to override the keys you put in JFBConnect.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex, I changed client id and secret key and now my website prompts login screen of instagram but after placing right login details of instagram and when it redirects back to website, it opens www.blabber.buzz/component/community/register .. It is suppose to login directly where as it is asking to register using community component.

Instagram does not allow importing a user's email address. Because of that, JFBConnect will always redirect the user to whatever Registration Component option you have setup in JFBConnect. Some information can be imported by Instagram, but there isn't a lot of profile fields they offer. The advantage of using Instagram is that the user doesn't need to remember a password and can easily authenticate again in the future with their Instagram credentials.

I hope that helps explain, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
