Looking at Stack Overflow, there seem to be other developers having problems with Share counts in the IN/Share widget as well:

stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/linke...t=newest&pagesize=15
stackoverflow.com/questions/48218187/lin...ys-displays-0-shares

The code we're inserting looks correct to me and nothing's changed on our part, so I'm not entirely sure this is JFBConnect causing this.

LinkedIn Help is aware of the issue and looks like is an open ticket on it - Invalid consumer key/secret in configuration. We'll keep monitoring this. The APIs change all the time, so if there are any changes that need to be made on our side, we'll implement them. A lot of times for an error like, this is just waiting until the social networks fix the bug and nothing to do from our end.

That twitter thread came from here .

We seem to have the same issue again.

Is this again because of something at LinkedIn? are they aware ?

Yes, it looks like they've followed suit to other social networks and removed the share count permanently. There's a new notice now on the LinkedIn developer page that was not there previously. It brings you to this new blog post regarding the count .
