LinkedIn uses the same og:image,etc tags that FB does for setting the image (as described
here
). So you'd set the Open Graph in the same manner as for Facebook.
JFBConnect provides the following 3 ways for setting the image tags:
1. Open Graph plugins - If you enable the appropriate plugin from our 'Open Graph' plugin group (e.g. 'Open Graph - Content' for Joomla articles), JFBConnect will set the og:image and og:description for you. It will take a best guess from your content for these values, like picking the first image out of your article or the first X words for your description. If you'd like finer control of these values, you can also set up an object in the JFBConnect > Social Meta > Objects section. The right-hand side would be the most important to you for setting the description/image for sharing. You'll have to pick a type as well, but LinkedIn doesn't do anything with these types (that I know of).
2. SCOpenGraph easy-tag - In any content on your site, you can add an easy-tag like the following: {SCOpenGraph image=FULL/PATH/TO/IMAGE.png} {SCOpenGraph description=Your Custom Description Here}
3. Defaults - In the JFBConnect > Social Meta > Configuration tab, there's a setting for defaults. If JFBConnect cannot find the tag from #1 or #2, it will use the default tags set here.
These options are described more in detail
here
.
I hope this helps explain, but let me know if you need more help.
