remember login not working in login module

Have you enabled the "System - Remember Me" plugin?

Can you check the plugin that I mentioned too? Can you also verify whether the "Remember Me" setting works in the standard Joomla login module?

The Remember Me button only works when logging in with Joomla credentials using a username and password. If you're trying to login with a social network, the Remember Me button will not affect the login process. You can use the option for "Auto Login Facebook Users" to automatically log Facebook users back in if they are already logged into their Facebook.com account.

However, not all social networks have a similar ability.

Please let us know if the social network login feature is what your testing. If you are using Joomla credentials and the Remember Me option isn't working, then please test with the standard Joomla mod_login module to see if that behaves properly. That will help us narrow things down further.

If the standard Joomla mod_login module isn't working, then that will need to be investigated. JFBConnects uses the same underlying methods for Remember Me that Joomla does.. we're using what's already there. If mod_login isn't work, you'll need to fix that first. Then, if JFBConnect still doesn't work, we can gladly help investigate further.

The first step would be to turn off any caching and any SEF and then go one-by-one disabling your system plugins to see if there are any other extensions interfering with the Remember Me functionality. We're not aware of any existing Joomla 3.6.5 bugs with Remember Me, but you can look through the issues tracker or post on the Joomla forums
