I have been working on this for hours. This is the only connection I'm having trouble with and have been through old posts here, as well as the knowledge base and tutorial for this. Here is the string I get in my url from the error page:
login.live.com/err.srf?lc=1033#error=inv...263570a81baa4c5820f5

I have entered about every combination of callbacks I can think of (see screenshot) and all results remain the same. Is there some other redirect URI I should use?

Help! Please!

Just got a different response in the browser url for the error page, looks better/closer anyway:

*https://login.live.com/oauth20_authorize.srf?response_type=code&client_id=c9a9a63d-a16d-4157-aac8-e221015eb154&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fkamuniti.com%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_jfbconnect%26task%3Dauthenticate.callback%26provider%3Dwindowslive&scope=wl.signin+wl.basic+wl.emails+wl.birthday&state=d19943cb869d954aa57628e685e5e995&access_type=offline&approval_prompt=auto*

The first response was when I wasn't on https when trying to log in

I do not see the screenshot attached to the thread. Could you please make sure that the file is uploaded and then use the green arrow on the same line as the image to attach it?

It looks like you have a valid redirect URI (the last one should work when going to kamuniti.com/). Could you try setting the JFBConnect backend > Configuration > General > 'Disable SSL Certificate Validation' setting to Yes?

Also, could you try logging in with your Windows Live account to sourcecoast.com? Perhaps there's an account restriction/setting on your account that could be related to this.

Sounded good, ha ha.
Anyway, signed right in here with my windows live account... no problem. Tried that setting for the skip certificate validating, set to yes... same result. I've tried that before too. I'll keep messing around with it, but if you have any other ideas I'm all ears. Thank you.

Alllrighty then. I think I've found the issue. Microsoft updated their application creation area and our documentation is slightly out of date.

In the Application Portal area, there are 2 blue buttons for "Add an App".
1) One is in the main area under the huge "My Applications"
2) The other is under "Live SDK Application"

Our instructions will lead you down the path to choose 1) whereas it looks like you should use door number 2. Please try to click the Add an App under Live SDK Applications.

The way to know you're creating the correct application is:
* In the 'Web' section there should be checkboxes for "Allow Implicit Flow" *and* "Restrict token issuing to this app" (I see only Implicit Flow in your pic)
* Your App ID should be something like 0000000040124567. If you see a URL like 10125a32-237f-4118-978b-4768211244a6, you created the wrong type of app.

Please test and see if that helps things work better for you. If so, we'll definitely update our documentation.

Thanks,
Alex
