About status update

That feature is still available and tested to work. For JFBConnect to be able to push to or pull status from Facebook, the following permissions must have been granted by the user:
publish_actions - Allows posting updates to FB
user_posts - Allows pulling status updates from FB

Those permissions should be asked of users when they register. If the user denied those permissions, neither feature will work.

You may want to go into Facebook.com and remove your App from your personal profile and try authenticating again to ensure the permissions are properly requested. You also need to make sure that the permissions have been reviewed by Facebook for use on your site. Otherwise, Facebook won't even request them of guests that try to register, only admins.
