I have subscribed the jfconnect extension earlier.

Recently I got the notification from your support team that my subscription has expired.
When I moved my site to new domain and when try to enter the new app id of Facebook it keep give me errors:

1. Your Subscriber ID was not associated with an active JFBConnect subscription.
2. Could not fetch application and recommendation data from SourceCoast.com. Cached values were loaded, but may be out of date. It's highly recommended that you make a successful connection to get the most up to date application data and recommendations.

So I am not able to use the new app on my new domain. Is that happen because of my subscription has expired. If yes then how to resolve it. Here's my question about that :

1. Do I always need to renew my subscription for using this extension on my site or is it a one time subscription only.
2. Is that issue will be resolved after renew the subscription.

A subscription to JFBConnect is for 6 months. That period includes:
* All updates released
* Priority support for any issues or questions you may have
* Access to the Autotune automatic configuration tool

Autotune is constantly updated on our end to work with changes in Facebook's Application interface and settings, as well as adding new checks to our Error Check tool.

When your subscription expires, you won't be able to run Autotune anymore. However, JFBConnect will continue working just as it was configured before. If you need to make changes to your Facebook application for your new domain, you'll need to do that through the Facebook Developer Area as JFBConnect won't be able to automatically configure your new domain.

Once your Facebook App data is updated, Autotune will still show the 'old' data, but that shouldn't affect the operation of JFBConnect in any way.

I hope that helps explain, but if you have any questions, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response.

So as per your reply I can still use that extension even after my subscription has expired. Even I can use that for other domain as well. Is that right?

If it is correct then as per your message I created a new app on Facebook and enter that app id and secret key to auto tune of JFconnect on my new domain. After setting all, when I tried to log in to site using Facebook it shows successful login message but it redirect me to registration page. Please find attachment for reference.

I don't know what is the problem with that I have checked all the settings in the backend it is same as my test domain. It is working on my testing domain but not in live.

Please help me to resolve it.

Aaron,
Facebook is constantly changing it's API and how data can be retrieved about a user. The image you show above shows that the Facebook User ID is properly being imported, but profile information isn't. That's a

The issue you're having above is likely that you're using a brand new Facebook Application and an older version of JFBConnect. Older Applications work with older versions of JFBConnect. However, new Applications are automatically updated to the latest version of the Graph API by Facebook, which only the latest versions of JFBConnect support.

I hope that helps explain, but if not, or you need any other help, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the information.

So it means I need to renew my subscription and replace the jfbconnect extension with new one. So my questions are:
1. How can I update my installed extension on site?
2. Do I just need to replace my subscription id with new then it will automatically get updated?
3. How will I set up Facebook and Gmail API for new API, Please provide me any demo link for new Facebook and Gmail API setup tutorial.

Thanks

To update JFBConnect:
1. Login here at sourcecoast.com with your same account (B5 Marketing) and repurchase the JFBConnect extension.
2. In the backend configuration of JFBConnect on your site, you will not have to change your subscription ID.
3. Then in your backend, go to the Joomla Update Manager and find updates. You should just be able to update JFBConnect from there.

Application setup guides for all of our supported social networks can be found here:

Hello Melissa,

Thanks for valuable information by which I have successfully updated my extension to newer version and set the apps for Facebook and Google.
Both of them are working fine now.

I have one question for that is JFBconnect also work with virtue-mart login or is there any extension available for that?

Thanks,
Aaron.

In general, JFBConnect creates 100% standard users that work with any extension in Joomla. Additionally, in the SCLogin module that comes with JFBConnect, you can set your registration component to Virtuemart. When the user enters their username/password, the SCLogin will log that user in with Virtuemart. Additionally, we also provide a Virtuemart Social Profile plugin. When enabled, it can be configured to automatically pull in profile data from our supported social networks.
