Hi,
the ideas is based on the phenomenon that sites that don't look like they have users, conversations, comments etc. look like a ghost town and people tend to wander away. If there is traffic, people are more likely to participate; the empty restaurant syndrome.
i am now using a forum component called EasyDiscuss and so far I'm very happy with it. I posted a question using EasyDiscuss and then shared that question on Facebook. The people that I shared the question with responded and a lively thread followed. Great! Except it all happened on Facebook and even though the question was initiated on my site, no visitor on my site could see the conversation it initiated.
What a help it would have been, if that Facebook thread was visible on my site under the question that started the discussion. What a help it would be if anyone who used JFBconnect to login to FB on my site could then have joined the conversation on my site. This means (I guess) that the conversation would be occurring in two places at the same time (1) on Facebook and (2) on my site.
The guys at StackIdeas cannot do this but I'm hoping that you guys can in a future update. I think it would be of tremendous value to people who are starting new sites as they could leverage their Facebook conversations to get social proof where they need it most: on their own site.
I can appeciate some of the privacy issues and access issues that this brings up, but I'm hoping there is a way that it can be done that works. For me, even if the conversation was only visible but not accessible (meaning no one on my site could participate) it would still have been valuable to me as it looks busy and shows social proof. If the non-FB user responded and the FB users couldn't see, it might be a kind of a private message to the person who started the discussion. Maybe two discussions threads are possible under one question. Anyway I hope you get what I'm pointing to and also see this as valuable.
Here's a link to a related post that was already shot down

I hope this is possible and that it has as much apparent value to you as it does to me.
