Hi,
When I leave a review on my site there is a checkbox that says "Publish on Facebook" or something to that effect, but it is not published to Facebook. I have provided my site access to you in the past so I hope you have it.

Peter,
That checkbox is from jReviews itself. If that's not working, you'd need to contact them.

If you've gone through our Open Graph Actions for Joomla configuration guide to create an action to automatically post when a user creates a review, and that doesn't work, let us know. We can help with that functionality as that's from our extension.

Just heard back from Alejandro at Jreviews. This is what he said

"While it is true that the functionality for posting to FB the review is from JReviews. The file given in that error is not a JReviews file. I mean this file:

Notice: Undefined index: pid in /home/morevida/public_html/goodtalktnt.com/plugins/opengraph/jreviews/jreviews.php on line 133

So unless something has changed, that plugin from SourceCoast is responsible for the form submission breaking and subsequent not-posting to FB. You can disable the opengraph plugin in the plugins manager to see if that helps. I believe they were made aware of this issue and might have corrected it in an update since your Dec. 14th contact with us."

Would greatly appreciate if you can look into this for me.

This seemed to have cleared up the problem. So no need to do anything for this. Hope it stays fixed. My only problem now is I have no idea how to configure my mail to enable to receive notifications and not break Facebook notifications and review submissions.

Glad to hear you got that resolved. I wasn't sure how our plugin would still be causing the same problem, so was pretty confused when I first started looking this over.

I'm not sure what the SMTP issue is. That's a server and configuration specific issue, and so I can't really say I'd know where to start there. Our Open Graph plugins do not send emails, so I'm assuming that's a part of jReviews to notify the lister or commenter of a submission.

Hi Alex,
This issue has come up again. When I leave a review the box is checked to post it to Facebook and it doesn't post.

I have solved the SMTP issue. I had moved my email from hostgator to gmail and I didn't know that I had to change the SMTP settings. That is fixed. I get emails as i'm supposed to when a user leaves a new listing etc.

I'm really frustrated that things get fixed and then get broken again. Would appreciate your help to solve this once and for all. Thanks.

Peter,
Glad you figured out the SMTP issue on your end.

The check box to post to Facebook is not a feature of JFBConnect, that's a part of jReviews. It's possible we're causing a conflict, as we have before, but I'm not sure. I'd recommend disabling the Open Graph - jReviews plugin and testing again. If it still doesn't post to the wall, then it's likely an issue with jReviews itself.

If you need more help diagnosing things, let us know, but I don't know the jReviews code well and it's unfortunately encrypted which makes it hard to diagnose things from our end.

I disabled the open graph jreviews plugin and it works fine. So clearly it's not a Jreviews problem.

Peter,
I just tested on your site. At first, I left a review and it posted to my Activity Log / Timeline, as expected. I then:
* Deleted that post from my Timeline
* Went into the Joomla admin area and deleted my review.
* I then published the Open Graph - jReviews plugin.
* Then, I reviewed the same listing again.

The review properly posted to my Timeline as expected, the same as when the plugin was disabled. I even left a review on a different listing and it too posted to my Timeline.

Can you test and see if you're still not able to post? If not, please give me some more steps as to what you are doing so we can test more closely to what your trying (the exact listing, any settings you change, etc).

I deleted my 2 reviews. However, I left your site in the same state as my last test, so you can see the configuration that I was able to successfully post with> Again, the only change was to enable the Open Graph - jReviews plugin.

Yes. It worked this time for me also. What could be causing this to be unreliable? I don't feel comfortable that when it works it will stay working.
