Hello,
Suddenly my like / send button is gone at the bottom of each article.
No idea why, I'm at the lastest joomla and jfbconnect version.

You can test at www.musicalonstage.be/v2/

It's really something with the like / send ;-/
Tweet button is showing normally ;-)

Downgrading the component and plugin to 4.2 was my quick fix, if you need some testing please contact me and I'll put 4.3 back online ;-)

With the newest release of JFBConnect, the Open Graph integration has changed a bit. I'm not sure if that's the cause of the problem, but can you try any of the following to see if it fixes the problem:
* In the Open Graph -> Settings area of JFBConnect, add a default image. Something like a logo is a good default image to use for all of your pages. You can enter it into the Defaults box like:
image=http://www.yoursite.com/path-to-logo.jpg
* Upload and enable the Open Graph - Joomla Content plugin included in the latest v4.3 zip package.

Basically, Facebook has recently become very rigid about having an image included in your Open Graph text. The new Open Graph system is much better at including an image in a broad range of extensions, but you need to install and publish the correct plugin(s) for those extensions.. including Joomla articles.

Let us know how that goes, and if you need more information, we'll be here!

Thanks,
Alex

Hello,

now it seems to work in Safari, but refuses to work in firefox & Chrome
W3C validation isn't really nice for fb:like:
validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2F...=W3C_Validator%2F1.3

And some more info:
html5.validator.nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musicalonstage.be

Could you please clarify this?

Hi - I too have noticed that the Facebook 'Like' button doesn't display with Firefox since upgrading to JFBConnect 4.3. It does show with Safari. Also, I've already had an image defined in the OpenGraph for the extension. That was in place for some time.
Lars

EDIT: Problem also appears to affect JFBCFan. That box displays, but profile pics do not. Other browsers seem ok for that module.

All,
Sorry for the issues. We've found the problem. It's related to a CSS change that we made for better responsive support in the Comments box, but has caused some obvious issues elsewhere. To fix, edit the /components/com_jfbconnect/assets/jfbconnect.css file. In there, you'll find the following block:
#fbcomments, .fb_iframe_widget, .fb_iframe_widget[style], .fb_iframe_widget iframe[style], #fbcomments iframe[style], .fb_iframe_widget span {
    width: 100% !important;
}
Delete it or comment it out and your Like button will magically re-appear again.

There will be a 4.3.1 release that will fix this, and a few other minor issues that have cropped up with this release. We're expecting it will probably go out next week, but it depends on what else is found in the meantime.

Thanks again for your feedback and patience,
Alex
