Hello,

I have some problem with the latest 3.4.1 component in K2 category view.

It works in the first level of the category: www.volontarresor.se/projekt/asien

But if I go deeper in to Asia -> Kambodja as here: www.volontarresor.se/projekt/asien/kambodja

I get no likes. I have se it on ALL categories.

Have I missed a setting or is there a problem?

When looking at it alittle deeper it is actually the third level that stops working:

First is: www.volontarresor.se/projekt

Second is: www.volontarresor.se/projekt/asien

Third is: www.volontarresor.se/projekt/asien/thailand

So it is working in first and second level categories but likes does not show in the third level.

We'll have to test. I knew we did 2nd level category testing, so would have needed more information about that.. We'll have to do 3rd level category testing though and let you know what we find.

Claes,
We're actually in the process of finalizing some features and fixes for JFBConnect 4.0 (due out next week). There's a few K2 related issues that we'll be looking into tomorrow or Friday and will definitely post here with any questions (or solutions if easy) that we find. If it's not too easy, the fix should be in the 4.0 release.

Thanks for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience,
Alex

Claes,
The time has come! We tried to recreate this problem over the weekend to no avail. We can see the content plugin working (with 3.4.1) three and four categories down in item views and category views.

Since we can't recreate it, can you give us an admin account to your site so we can see your configuration and see the problem in action there? Additionally, if you can let us know a specific page or two with the problem, that will help as well.

You can Private Message me the info by clicking the arrow under my name and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey thats great! Thank you! .. I have PMed super admin login

I have noticed some strange behavior that the likes and comments does not show on our "news" (nyheter) K2 category either. This category is level one.

To shortly explain our site its an Volunteer Travel Agency and we sell volunteer trips to 23 countries around the world. We use K2 items an have made categories for all cuntries for our trips: Asia > Thailand

We have also tagged all trips with tags in K2 for their kind: Animals and nature, children and youth, students projects etc etc..

Here is an example of a working category view (projects in Asia):
www.volontarresor.se/projekt/asien

Here is one deeper lever which does not work (projects in Asia and then in Thailand):
www.volontarresor.se/projekt/asien/thailand

Here is a working level one category view (travelers strories):
www.volontarresor.se/berattelser

Here is a none working level one category (news):
www.volontarresor.se/nyheter

Which is also not working on our start blog view:
www.volontarresor.se/

Hope that explains it!

Claes,

We fixed the issue on most of your pages. The reason was that some of the K2 url's your site was generating had task=category, whereas we've always been looking for layout=category. We've never seen this before, but it seems valid, so we updated our code to work with those URL's. Can you tell us how those pages are reached through the menus, just so we can see how those links were created in order to test better in the future?

One item that we were not able to fix immediately is the start blog view, as 3.4.1 currently does not support the K2 Latest Item menu type. I'm in the process of adding this feature to 4.0.

Please test the changes to your category pages and let us know if you still have any issues.

Thanks,
-Melissa

Hi Melissa! That really looks good now with all the categories! Likes on all of them.

However now it seems that there are none on the tag views. Here are two examples:

www.volontarresor.se/tag/gymnasieprojekt
www.volontarresor.se/tag/sport

All those tag views did work before..

When it comes to your question about how I created these task=category items I have not a clear idea how. Thing might be that I actually dont have a menu item for that 3-4 level K2 categories and those URLs might have been created through just navigating from level 1-2 which has menus.. ? Just an idea.

Other than that all I have done is created normal K2 category menus for level 2 ..
