Topic-icon 'Like' button posts site meta tags about link instead of article text

Clicking the 'like' button for an article on my site (www.hambleweek.org.uk) posts a link to the article to facebook, but the descriptive text posted on facebook is just the meta tags for the site. Is there any way to have that text replaced by the leading text of the article?

Shaun,
With the 3.2 release, we'll have some options for setting the tags per article. I like the idea of using the introtext as a default though, so we'll look into that. For now, there's not much we can recommend for setting those values (easily). The 3.2 release should be out within the next 2 weeks though. When that's out, any Likes that have been created will automatically be updated with the new tags, so it will be retroactive.

Hope that helps, and sorry for the confusion. The 3.2 release is very focused on the 'social' aspects of Facebook, and this is one of those areas.

Thanks!

We've just released a new version 3.2 of JFBConnect tonight that adds capabilities to set up the Open Graph settings. You can set up the properties in Components > JFBConnect > Social > Open Graph. There are several ways to get the properties set: 1) using the {JFBCGraph} tags, 2) in the configuration area and 3) allowing JFBConnect to figure some of the required values out from the page title, description and url. Check out the configuration area for more details and examples.
