Hey guys I am having trouble getting the JFBCFeed to work on my site. I thought I followed the configuration instructions to set it up but it doesnt seem to be working right. All the links redirect back to the site instead of linking to the actual facebook post. It looks as though it is trying to take you to our facebook page but then it redirects back to our site.

Here is the page with the module enabled. dynamicearth.net/facebook
And this is the link that it takes you to. www.dynamicearth.net/index.php?option=com_content

I am running joomla 1.5.22 and JFB 3.1.2

Thanks
Jay

Hey Jay,
I'm assuming everything else is working on the site? Mainly, registration and logging in. If so, that's good.. if not, lets start there first :)

Can you send a link to your page so we can see what's going on? Usually, a quick look at the HTML is enough for us to diagnose problems with the modules. If you don't want it to be public, you can private message us the link. You can do so by clicking the arrow under my name (<---) and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks!

We actually do not have a user log in right now. I am more interested in the feed and like buttons.

Oh and I edited the first post with that info as you were typing. ^^ :)

Hey Jay,
Sorry for the delay. I just got back onto the pages you linked to, and of the 5 links, 4 actually do bring you to content pages. The Feed module is mostly automated on Facebook's end to pull recent (or most active) links from the domain you specify in the module. If someone happens to share those incorrectly, unfortunately, they'll be pulled into that module using the incorrect link, which is what I think has happened for one or two of your links. By placing Like buttons on the pages, that can generally help clear that problem up, simply because there there's no issue of cut & paste, and also because it's a direct link between your site and Facebook, which allows Facebook to call back to it and get a little more info about the page.

One thing I would recommend trying is updating the domain parameter in the JFBCFeed module to just your domain name (dynamicearth.net/), without the /facebook at the end. I don't think this will magically make things work better though.

For more information about the Activity Stream (JFBCFeed module), you can read the synopsis at this page:
developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/activity/

Hope this helps, but if you have any other questions, just let us know!
