Topic-icon share/recommend/like on virtuemart product pages, data import opt-out

hello,

great fb pack at the outset!

some questions though: you write in another thread that there is (yet) no virtuemart integration. im assuming this is primarily about storing the info in the vm_user table, right?

1) but what about the share/recommend/like button on (SEF) product pages? would they work?
2) i'd like to give users a choice which data from fb is imported. how flexible is your component in this respect? can users easily and simply opt out which data is imported (e.g. by clicking "change" or "x" in the FB data import pop-up window to ensure only data they want is imported )

cheers,

Yeah, we don't have any integration with Virtuemart for importing a user's information into it.. but that doesn't mean it doesn't work with Virtuemart.

1) The Like buttons would work just fine with Virtuemart. You can either use the JFBCLike module or use the [JFBCLike] tag on the VM flypages to automatically add the Like button to those pages. The URL for the Like button will be set to whatever page the user is on automatically, so that you don't have to manually set it for each page.
2) There's 2 options with this. First, you can choose what profile data should be imported. It's completely up to you to 'map' the Facebook fields to the correct fields in JomSocial, K2, Agora, CB or Kunena (for now). If you choose not to import any of these fields, then no data will be imported. This will also make the 'permissions' dialog smaller and less forboding to someone who may be registering. If you choose to import a ton of data into the profile, we have the option to make the profile import fields 'optional'. This gives a 2nd pop-up window when logging in that asks the user if they'd like to grant permission to those fields. It's all or nothing though, so you know.. you can't say that "User Interests" are required and "Favorite Movies" are optional.. that's a limitation of how we've built JFBConnect to not make configuration overly confusing.

Hope that helps. If you have other questions, let us know. Or, if you'd like to play around with it yourself, we have a 30-day money back guarantee!

Good luck,
Alex
