I'm interested in FaceBook Connect but need to be sure of its functionality. I am building a website for a client who wants to have a FaceBook Connect button on every page of the website somewhere. Maybe alongside a horizontal login module at the very top edge of every page. Will this program work independently of sitting on a Jomsocial page? Does it have to sit in your login and/or can it be converted into a tight horizontal login, if so?

JFBConnect can be used anywhere on the site, and JomSocial is not required at all. If you have JomSocial, JFBConnect lets you map Facebook fields into the JomSocial profile for each user as well as importing the avatar and other features, but JFBConnect works just fine without it. Whether you have JomSocial or not, you can include the Login With Facebook button on every page in a few different ways. Our demo site is a good example of JFBConnect operating in conjunction with JomSocial. Every page on the site has the login button, but every page is 'not' a JomSocial page:

This site also shows how JFBConnect can work without JomSocial at all, and also shows the single-sign on capability of JFBConnect, which JomSocial lacks. If you click the Login With Facebook button here, you're account will automatically be created without filling out any forms or any hassle.

As for the Login module, yes, you can re-style this however you see fit. The login module, right now, does not have a default style for horizontal positioning, but it's something we're working on creating so that you don't have to do it yourself. Right now, you'd need to create a template override to move the buttons and input fields to however you'd want them to appear. Not overly complex or impossible, but just not there out of the box (yet). For more information on how to override the default styling of the Login module, see our template override guide:

Hope this helps!
