I've created two channels, Facebook and Twitter. The div for the "Create Post" button shows perfectly. I am able to create a post to our Facebook page. However, although the twitter post says that it was successful, I can not find the tweet anywhere on twitter.

I'm not sure why it says it posted if not, that may be a bug we'll have to investigate further.

The main recommendation I'd give is to re-authenticate using Twitter on the front-end. That will make sure that you've granted the correct permission to be able to post to that Twitter stream. In the permissions area, it should request Write permission. If you don't see that, then something may be wrong with your configuration of the Twitter channel (or with JFBConnect).

Let us know if that helps get you going,
Alex

I re-authenticated via twitter to log into the site and created a post to the twitter feed. Same issue. Nothing on my twitter feed, yet it says it posted successfully.

When you authenticate with Twitter, you should see two authentication prompts. The first will ask for just read permission. The next will ask for the following:

Read Tweets from your timeline.
See who you follow, and follow new people.
Update your profile.
Post Tweets for you.

That last one is the most important. Can you verify that you're getting that prompt? If not, what I'd recommend is going into the Channel configuration for the Twitter channel and hit "Save" again. That should hopefully re-update the database to ensure that that user is prompted for the proper permissions. If that doesn't work, please try creating a whole other Twitter Channel for the same user and see if you get the prompt then.

If not, something really strange is going on that we haven't heard of before.. We'll gladly help investigate however we can though.

Thanks,
Alex

I made sure that the author had linked his twitter account. I opened and saved the channel again. Made a post as the author to the twitter stream, nothing showed up at twitter thought the post responded that it was done successfully.

I'm at a lose here, I'm sure I've got something misconfigured. What do you want me to do next? The website in question is Sanctuary HQ

Can you Private Message me admin credentials for your site so I can try to configure a Twitter channel and test it? You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my avatar to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Steven,
Sorry for the delayed response. I just got into your site to test a little more. Here are the steps I took:
1) I registered with Twitter on the front-end
2) I activated my account
3) I logged out of the front-end
4) In the admin area, I created a new Channel for Twitter "SourceCoast Test Twitter"
5) I clicked "Save" and then set the user to the account I just created
6) On the front-end, I tried to login with Twitter again.
7) I got the first standard "Authorize App" prompt for read permission.
8) I was then redirected back to twitter for the 'write' permission, as expected.
However, at this point, I ran into an issue with JFBConnect where there was a blank white page. This is an error that needs a minor code change to fix. If you're up for it, please this post .

It doesn't sound like you made it to the white page issue I mentioned above. The only reason I can guess is because you created the Twitter Channel before you authenticated via Twitter with that user. In that case, it's possible JFBConnect isn't setting up the user permission for that user properly.

What I would recommend, just to make sure, is:
* Delete the channel you've created.
* Re-create the channel and set the same user as the 'owner'
* Then, try to authenticate on the front-end.

Hopefully, that gets you going. Not sure what else could be going on as it *seems* like things are right, outside of the error I mentioned above.

Definitely keep me posted on what you find, and good luck!
Alex

We're heading in the right direction. I followed the steps above, made the code changes, logged back in with my twitter account and got redirected twice to twitter, once for read and once for write, not blank white page, redirected back to the site and logged in. Made a post to the channel and got the following:

Post to Facebook Page was successful

Post to Facebook page showed up perfectly.

No twitter post though.
