I created an SCLogin module, I published it (on all pages), put it in the same position as my defaul Login module (top-b), but nor the User and password fileds displays on the screen, nor the Facebook button.

What procedure do I need to follo to get this Facebook button visible?
I thought it would be easy to configure, but it seems more complicated.

I would like some help on this issue.. thanks

I use joomla 2.5.

Matthieu,
Everything you described is the right way to show the module. The SCLogin module is actually a copy of the Joomla login module with a few extra features, so it should behave the same if configured with same Joomla parameters.

Can you double check your settings? Also, set the Module Title to something unique and make sure that the Show Title is set to 'On'. If you can't see the title on the page at all, that means that Joomla doesn't think it's meant to show on that page: either it's unpublished, set to a higher access level than the user, not in a template position on the page, or not set to show on that menu item.

Also, make sure you clear your Joomla caches after an changes you make to ensure your changed settings are taking effect immediately.

If you still can't get it, let us know, and we'll help how we can. Something's missing though, and from your description, I don't know what it is.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

Thank you for your quick answer. I could publish the SClogin module on the website, on the right place.

The only thing I miss actually is the Facebook button.
I selected Login Button Size Medium and "Javascript" as Login Button Type.. but at the FrontEnd, there is only a text mentioning "Login With Facebook" without hyperlink, without the Facebook connect image.

I re-installer the JFBConnect Component, but the problem persist.

Any idea?

Ok, since the Javascript does not work correctly, I found out that I could select Image instead of Javascript, then upload a Facebook Connect button on and add the link to the PNG image. It's fine for me now.

I thought that the Javascript would show up a Facebook Connect button automatically, but it seems I was wrong..

Glad you got it working with a custom image. The Javascript button should just work without any changes. I'm not sure why it didn't. If you would prefer the Javascript button, please enable it on a page and let us know where we can see the plain text instead of the button. We can usually figure out what's causing the issue pretty quickly.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I changed my settings to Javascript for the test. You can find it on Top-Right of the following page : tranceportation.tv/v5/en/
Let me know if you found the solution.

Ah.. you're using a RocketTheme template with the RokBooster plugin. We recently helped another user with a similar issue. Basically, the RokBooster plugin is changing the Facebook tags, like fb:login-button, fb:like, or fb:comments to just login-button, like, and comments. By stripping out the fb: from the tags, they no longer function. There's not anything we can do about it within JFBConnect as RokBooster is changing our code.

The user with issues posted in the RocketTheme forums, but it doesn't look to have been responded to. I'd recommend replying to that question that you're having a similar issue and hopefully you can get a response:
www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=62...18664&rb_v=viewtopic

Beyond that, my only suggestion is to disable the RokBooster plugin.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hello Alex,

The problem was indeed the famous Rokbooster plugin who chage the code and disabled the Facebook Connect button.
Since the Rokbooster pugin has been disable, everything works fine.

Thanks for the excellent support!
Wish you a great weekend!

Hi,

I'm having similar issues, but none of the SCLogin options work.
When I first used it, it was no problem - the Facebook logo worked, I signed in, accepted the FB popup. A new user was created and all was good.
However, the user didn't have access to one of the menu items (set to registered) even though the user was registered.
I tried logging out and back in, but now the login button is gone.
Please pm me or email for a link - the website is still not officially published.

Thanks!

In the SCLogin module, disable the "Show Faces" option. That should make the login button re-appear. Unfortunately, that's what we consider to be a bug with the Login Button. If you have already approved the app and that setting is enabled, the Login Button will disappear.

Beyond that, I just registered on your site and was left on the home page. So, I don't know where I should check for the registered menu items.

Let us know if you still have issues, and we'll gladly help how we can.

Thanks,
Alex
