OpenGraph Actions and EasyBlog

EasyBlog should definitely be showing a category drop-down on the right hand side. Do you see any options on the right hand side, or is it just empty?

Is it possible to take a picture to let us know what you see on the right hand side or any other details? We've tested a lot with EasyBlog and even demonstrated it to some of their developers this past weekend, so it should work.. but maybe there's some incompatibility or oddity we're unaware of.

Oh, also, what version of EasyBlog are you using?

Yup, you're absolutely right! Not sure what happened, but our packaging system missed a file that's pretty important for rendering that category field. We'll get it fixed over the next day or this weekend and re-release the EasyBlog Open Graph plugin. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do to fix the issue immediately, but it will be fixed soon, and thanks for calling it to our attention!

Not sure either. That's definitely been tested extensively, but there's always the possibility there's bugs or configuration issues we just haven't documented well enough. There's a few things to test out:
1) In the Configuration -> Facebook API error, turn "Display Facebook API Errors on Front-End" to "On". The popup that should appear to notify you when a Timeline event has been created will hopefully display some details about why an action was *not* posted.
2) Open the HTML on your page and search for "jfbc.opengraph.triggerAction". You should see that in there if the action is published and set to be an "On Page Load" event. If you don't see that, either the action/object isn't configured properly or the action/object don't think they should be operating on that page.
3) Obviously make sure you're logged in via Facebook to your site.

If none of that works, let us know. Beyond that, we may need to get into the admin area of your site if possible. The Open Graph Action stuff is still so new, we're not sure what can go wrong on user's sites and how best to diagnose/debug oddities like this.

Thanks for the access and letting us look. I went to the "We are Open" page (a K2 Item). From there, when the action tries to trigger using AJAX, the following Javascript error is thrown:If you go directly to that URL (replace with your domain), you'll see the same error. I'm not sure what's causing that, but it's definitely a problem. The only thing I tried was to tell sh404SEF to 'skip' JFBConnect, which can correct some issues, but didn't seem to do anything here. I reverted that setting.

Does that help you understand the issue more? If not, let us know, but hopefully, you may be able to diagnose a little bit of why the request won't go through (server configuration, firewall, security, etc) that could be preventing it.

Oh yeah, another thing I noticed. When you add the action (or object) type, you do not want to include the namespace. So, for your review action, the type should just be "review" not "<yournamespace>:review".

JFBConnect will take care of the namespace, and a lot of other details, depending on whether you've set the "Built-In FB Action" setting.. which, for that setting, should be disabled.
