Have been suffering with the same issues for about 3-4 weeks now. Alex tried to help me resolve and you may want to check this thread to see if any of his ideas help you. Curious if you get an error also when using the standard Joomla login?

www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...general-setup-issues

I tried asking for help on the Joomla! forums but got no response. If you figure you issue out can you post here and let us know what solved it? As of today I have actually started rebuilding my site in Wordpress as no matter how much I like Joomla! if people cannot login to the site it does me no good.

Best of luck solving the issue!

Another user recently reported that if they had the "jomsocialredirect" plugin enabled, it could cause 500 errors. If you're using JomSocial, and have that plugin enabled, please try disabling it to see if that helps. Either way, let us know as this error is uncommon, but obviously would like to figure it out as quickly as possible if there's something we can do to prevent it.

Thanks,
Alex

Philip,
Please let us know if disabling that plugin helps. We're planning to investigate that soon, but not sure why that's causing an issue all of a sudden. It does seem like JomSocial (in general) is a common denominator in this and 1 or 2 other threads regarding recent error pages, so that plugin very easily may be the issue.

Can everyone let us know what version of JomSocial you're using so that we know we're investigating the right version of the plugin?

Thanks,
Alex

Philip,
Don't have the access info to your site anymore. We delete credentials pretty frequently as we simply don't like to keep a lot of user's admin passwords lying around (most people don't change them like they should).

If you can send again, that'd be great.

Both of you-- going to be looking at ddny's site soon to see if we can come up with anything. Will be glad to have 2 sites to compare with as we can't figure out the cause of this, or even recreate the symptoms reliably.

Just to make sure, for both of you, you're getting a 500 error with the View Not Found for JFBConnect when you try to click the Login With Facebook button. This happens on any pages of your site, not just a specific page.

Always good to clarify.

Thanks,
Alex

ddny,
EasyBlog - Social Integration. Under the "Facebook" tab, I set "Load Facebook Scripts" to No.
EasyDiscuss - Social Integration. Under the "Facebook" tab, I set "Load Facebook Scripts" to No.
sh404 - set JFBConnect set "Leave as non-sef"

There's still something else Facebook related on your site, but I can't find it. If you open the HTML of your page and search for "all.js", you'll see it's in there twice. That's the Facebook Javascript library and it should only be loaded on the page twice. Not sure what other extension is adding it, but the 2nd load should be removed. With it in there twice, some browsers may run into issues.

Either way, I just tested with Chrome on Windows and was able to register and login as expected. Obviously, please test. It's possible the issue is intermittent and still there, but hopefully, it's fixed.

Please let me know,
Alex

Ugh :) Never thought about EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss. I was testing various config with sh404SEO and must have left the setting on but will change it now. Will do some digging for the second all.js reference and see where that might be coming from.

As always thank you for the outstanding support!

Will let you know how I make out!

John
