This shouldn't be an issue with CB, as we auto-authorize users who sign up through Facebook. Do you have some plugins that require authorization or some other component that has it's hands in the user table (and needs to authorize users)?

As for Virtuemart, we just completed CB support, and haven't started on integration with other components. If a user registers through CB on your site, is that information being ported over the VirtueMart table? If so, how? Is it through a plugin to CB, to VM, or is it integrated into one or the other components?

I am having the same issue of not being able to log out.

I have tried logging out using the regular module and the CB module, as well well as the JFBConnect module, to no avail.

Interesting note: If I have facebook open in another tab but log out of my site, it DOES log me out of facebook, but not out of my site.

Thanks for your continued work on this issue.

This one is really hard to debug, but we're investigating. It seems to be an issue where Facebook is not invalidating the local user's session on the site by calling back to us properly.

Are any of you using any of the following:
- SEF components or the built in Joomla?
- JoomFish?
- Anything else that might pop into your head as a complex component that might mess with Joomla's internals?

That makes sense based on what I just saw.
I also use JFBComment. When you aren't logged into Facebook you have to either enter a user and Email or login to Facebook to leave a comment. When you are logged into Facebook, it just says leave a comment. Just a bit ago, I tried to log out of my site, but it wouldn't let me. However, JFBComment showed me needing to login. So, I was definitely out of Facebook but still in my site.

I don't have SEF turned on.
I do have the htaccess file coded to add the www if it gets left off.
I'm running Community Builder, obviously.

Going forward, please use this post, as it's discussing the same issue. With multiple sites now experiencing this, it should be easier to debug by simple comparisons:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.php?f=38&t...p=967&rb_v=viewtopic">www.cmsmarket.com/forum/index.ph ... =viewtopic

If you can, PM me a super admin login to your site. I have it for another site (from that thread) and would like to do some debugging. This shouldn't interrupt your normal site for more than a few minutes while we're testing. I'll post to that thread if I find anything.

i think this component is great but i need to confirm every user who registers on my site (private organization) and im having problems.

i think its helpful to have facebook connect to streamline the registration process. cb usually sends an email to the admin(me) and the person registering and that person is not allowed access until the admin confirms them. with jfbconnect the admin is not notified and the user is allowed in to see the entire website except for the member profile (odd)!

when i log in, cb tells me the user is registered, not approved, and not confirmed. the confirmation link sent to the user doesnt work (it says log in before you can access this page). and again the admin gets no notification of this.

furthermore the facebook fields dont import (do they have to bee a textarea fields or text field)?

i need to keep my site secure, is there anyway jfbconnect can make things convenient to login but let cb handle the security?

Same problem as above.

Has anyone got this to work with CB yet.

The reg page keeps pointing to joomla reg page an not the cb one. its the same for the Jom social.

Does this plugin just use a joomla reg system ? and import user details to cb and jom.

Cheers John

i hate wasting money, and i feel like this really should be looked into or at the very least the devs should help walk us through coustomizing it to work on our sites.

i havent even tryed jomsocial cause i dont want to spend the money yet.

Devs, if your willing to publicly distribute a component you should be willing to support it a little better. Isn;t there anything we can do to get this to work?
