I installed the component, set some configuration settings. I can't access anything now. This is the message:
Illegal variable _files or _env or _get or _post or _cookie or _server or _session or globals passed to script.

Ensure that you are using the correct API, App, and Secret key in the JFBConnect configuration settings. Also, when I visit your link, I don't see JFBConnect running on the page, but do see jConnector, which uses an old version of the Facebook API. If that's enabled when you try to enable JFBConnect, that could easily cause the issue.

If that doesn't work, let us know, or send us a super admin account for your site and we can look further into it.

I deleted jconnector manually but that didn't do anything. I'm unable to access the backend of the site to check the api settings.

I also checked the fb api settings in the database and they are correct.

*EDIT - I have deleted jfbconnect to try to re-install..still can't access site but I could access before I installed it.

Are you still having issues? When I hit the page earlier (in Chrome I think), I never saw the error. If you're saying it was breaking your site -always-, I wasn't able to see that.

Right now, it's loading for me just fine, and I even tried to register this time without issue. Let us know if you're still running into issues, and if so, how to recreate them, cause now I'm a little confused :)

P.S. I like the modal pop-up for system messages.. looks really nice.

Thanks for your help Alex. The issues appear to be gone. I didn't have any until I installed JFBConnect which is what led me to believe it's what caused the problems to begin with. I manually deleted it as well as any other extension that was installed and used the fb api. The problem went away but only after refreshing browser cache (found that in another forum somewhere)..apparently it may be a browser based problem.

Here's the link for the modal message plugin - Modal Messages

It's entirely possible the JFBConnect did cause it, in an obscure way. When the Facebook library is called on a site, it checks for some Facebook cookies and other things in the user's browser. If you've upgraded from a different extension, using a much older library, or a combination of a lot of other factors, things like the above can unfortunately happen. In that case, there's also little we can do about it because the problems can be fleeting and usually clear themselves up.

Definitely glad to hear you got it going, and thanks for the link to the Modal extension!

Risala,
Can you tell us what version of JFBConnect you're using? That will help us narrow down the possible problems, and solutions.

Also, please post from the account you subscribed from. Priority support, especially on weekends, is for active subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex
