Topic-icon My Twitter app is blocked

Today I went to check my Twitter app to login through the website and saw that my Twitter app was blocked.

I don't remember receiving emails from Twitter saying my app was blocked. I created this "login app" over 10 years ago and it has always worked well.

As far as I understand, my app was blocked due to v. 1.1 because I did not manually change the API version for this app.

If I create a new app with API v. 2.0, will previously registered Twitter users of my website be able to log into my website or will their login credentials be lost due to the Twitter app being blocked?

My first suggestion is to submit a support ticket here to see if there's a way for them to change the supported API of the app to v2 Free without losing the connections. If you start fresh with a new v2 Free, Basic or Pro, the mapped links will not be available.

If they cannot do that, my next suggestion is
1) Make sure that the JFBConnect backend > Configuration > General > "Automatically Link Users by Email" setting is enabled.
2) Delete theTwitter mappings in the JFBConnect backend > User Map area
3) Then the next time the user attempts to log in with Twitter credentials, the email will be recognized as an existing account. They'll be prompted to approve the app again, but that happens periodically anyways.
