Topic-icon I received an email from Facebook saying that my login is broken

I've received this email several times over the past 2 months and I've re-sent information that everything is working as it should.

I can login via Facebook on my website, but Facebook is rejecting my app citing that the Facebook Login form is broken on my website.

Please help me solve this problem!

Hi
Thank you for your response.
In working to create a great Platform experience for everyone, we ask developers to ensure the apps they build comply with our Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
We have received your email and we apologize for any inconvenience caused to you while reviewing we were not able to login into the website using FB as it is leading to "Facebook Login is currently unavailable for this app, since we are updating additional details for this app. Please try again later."
hence we request you to fix this issue and let us know so that we will review the app accordingly.
It would help us greatly if you could send us credentials of a test user which has already been registered and is linked to an FB account. This would help us in reviewing the FB login functionality and the app thoroughly. You can find all information needed to creating a test user here - (developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/test-users).
Also, if you are not able to create FB test user then you can send your own FB test user which is already linked to the website and you can also consult our developer Platform for more information: developers.Facebook.com/support OR (www.facebook.com/help)
Please do feel free to reach out to us if you might have any doubts or queries regarding the same.
Thank you so much for you patience and cooperation.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I get these warnings all the time! I send them information that everything is OK and then they give the green light, then some more time passes and I again receive a warning that Facebook Login is broken again on my website.

What's happening? Why is my login sometimes working, sometimes broken?

look at the dates!

We have actually been going through the same violation limbo since October. Currently in the fourth round of it. We're getting a different error, though - "Developer Policy 1.2 - App is not loading or has broken functionality". When we ask for more details, it eventually gets pushed to resolved with no violation as working fine. I don't know what's going on with their review process but Facebook is a huge, huge hassle. I honestly don't know what to tell you because they're very cryptic and vague. I would love if they would attach videos of what's going on in their testing process so we could see what's happening.

Some suggestions:
* Since you've had your app for awhile, I'd suggest reviewing what category you are in. Back when Facebook allowed requests to invite other users, you had to be in the Game category. We were having some issues being in that category that resolved once we switched to something else.
* Which credentials have you given them? We created a test user and verified that we were able to log in and sent those credentials to them.
* Check what Graph API version you're using for the app? Move it up to a more current version if you're at v12, since that's deprecated and being removed soon.

The same thing has been happening to me since November.
I've been using this login app for my website for years and I've never had a problem with it.

I still haven't created a test user since logging in through my personal Facebook account works well, but I'll create a test user now.

please give me a link where I can change the API version and which version I can use now that will work with your component?

So I am not familiar with those game settings. I changed our category to Business and Pages.

In developers.facebook.com/ open your app and navigate to App Settings > Advanced. There is an Upgrade API version section. There aren't really any breaking changes listed in the changelog for calls that JFBConnect uses, so I'd try something like 15 at minimum (since according to this developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/changelog/versions, anything earlier will be removed later this year).

I tried to create a test user, but then I saw information that Facebook currently does not allow creating new test users.

I haven't created test users before.

As long as you give them the email and password for your Facebook account you've been using to login, then I think that should be sufficient. I would definitely respond to the review and ask for more details on what is breaking and try your webpage login from multiple browsers, etc.

today I received a new response after my last attempt to submit the application for review:

Hi,
Thanks for your response
We tried to login again and found the facebook login still persists. The facebook login button is leading to back to login page due to which we are unable to proceed further. Hence, we request you to help us with your existing facebook test user credentials so we can complete the review of your app
If you have any questions, please let us know
Looking forward for your response
