No faces of friends in SCSocial Widget module

I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Can you please try configuring the Page Plugin using the Facebook developer site similar to how you have it configured within JFBConnect:
developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin/

Once configured, test if the faces show how you'd expect on their site. If so, let us know the configuration options you've chosen and we can double-check that something hasn't changed for the plugin parameters.

If it doesn't work there, there's not much we can do. Either it's a bug with Facebook or the expectation for show faces isn't correct. We can gladly help clarify how it should work if needed.
