That 'Avatar' field is not from JFBConnect directly. If you have the "Enable Automatic Registration" setting in JFBConnect set to 'No', then JFBConnect will bring the new user to a registration page where they can fill out (or approve) their profile information.
On that page, we also will show any fields that are available from user plugins on your site. My guess is that that avatar field is coming from a User plugin you have enabled that's adding fields to the registration form.
Even though that's showing, JFBConnect should be importing the user's avatar into JomSocial if the JFBConnect - JomSocial profile plugin is enabled. Your settings do look correct.
Can you try, temporarily, turning on Automatic Registration in JFBConnect and testing with that enabled to see if profile information is properly imported? It's possible there's an issue with the manual registration flow we need to investigate.
Please note that with Automatic Registration, if you try to register with a social network user that is using the same email address as an existing Joomla user, you may still go through the manual registration process.
I hope that helps give some background, but definitely let us know what you find concerning your user plugins and what happens with automatic registration.
Thanks,
Alex
