If the user has set a language on your site using the language selector, then JFBConnect will use that setting when creating the user. So, if they navigate to the site, select Spanish as their language and then choose to register with Facebook or another social network, their account should have Spanish set as their Joomla language automatically.

Yes. Main point there is that the language selector functionality needs to be setup and configured correctly. If so, then JFBConnect should detect that and properly set that value on the user when they are created.

We'll have to investigate. Can you let us know how you have JFBConnect configured for authentication?
* In the Configuration area, can you let us know the settings for:
Enable Automatic Registration
Registration Component
Skip Joomla User Activation
Registration Display Mode
(You can take a pic of your configuration area as well so we can see all of the settings on that page)

We'll gladly do some testing to make sure we're fetching the language code for the user and setting it.. and, if there's something not right for the specific registration flow you're using, we'll get it fixed.
