Sorry, my Joomla specialist did not solve it. But she maybe came a little closer.
The header i probably set by my new Cookie consenter, plugin Cookiehint. Installet to meet Facebook EU GPDRS requirements.
It seems like the iFrame with buttons and comments is delivered to any ip adress outside EU, but not inside.
It seems like Facebook is blocking all logins, as they cant decide if the logins are following the EU regulations or not.
I have also seen som other Swedish sites, where JFBConnect doesnt work.
I have tryed to get in tuch with FB support, with no success.
Have you heard anything from them about this issue?
Regards
Niklas

Facebook is not clear about their new EU guidelines at all. We're in the US, so it's possible we just missed some communications from them.. but the only details we can find on the matter are on this page:
developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/

We will no longer support the 'Like' and 'Comment' Social Plugins for European Region users, unless they are both 1) Logged into their Facebook account, and 2) have provided consent to the “App and Website Cookies” control. If both of these requirements are met, the user will be able to see and interact with plugins such as the 'Like' or 'Comment' button. If either of the requirements above are not met, the user will not be able to see the plugins.

Now, that's just for the Like and Comment features, but we assume it applies more generally to a lot of other functionality. However, how to best implement the cookie for App and Website Cookies is very vague, so it's difficult for us to guide on exactly what to do there.

However, many features of Facebook require their Javascript to load. The iFrame for some of their widgets is created by the iFrame. If the Javascript can't load, which that header tag would prevent, then many features will simply not work.

Sorry I can't give you more specifics, but certainly if you discover anything, please let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Suddenly both buttons and comments are working again. I guess Meta/Facebook has done something without telling.

Sorry for the delayed response to this, but I wanted to follow up to make sure things were still working well. If so, great! If not, as mentioned, there's not much we can do...

We're beholden to whatever Facebook does on their end, but always good for us to be aware of potential conflicts in case other users report something similar.

Thanks,
Alex
