Today marks the release of v1.2 of PayToUpgrade. With this release, it's even easier to add payments to any component using the premiere payment solution for Joomla. Also included are new upgrade plugins for HotProperty and the Agora Forum as well as a new module to put subscription information on any page of your site.
PayToUpgrade v1.2 brings the most highly requested feature over the last month: emails. There is now a customizeable email sent to both the purchaser, and the administrator whenever a new upgrade is purchased, or when one has expired. This should greatly help with repeat purchases, and also improves customer interaction with your users.
The Available Upgrades menu has been enhanced to let you show only upgrades from a specific group. This makes it much easier to have a landing page with all upgrades relating to Community ACL or JUGA (for example), and let's you call out your subscription packages easier.
Additionally, a new PayToUpgrade module is included to let you show specific upgrades on any page. For example, in your Mosets Tree directory, place this module to show how much it costs for a user to get their listing added. This is a great way to increase visibility of options for your users.

The Agora forum by jVitals is a spectacular forum solution, so nice, that we use it for our support forums. It also has a very robust permission system built in to assign users to groups, which then defines what they're allowed to do and see in your forums. Now there's an easy way to charge user's to join these groups.
This new upgrade makes it a snap to set up a free-to-read, but subscribe-to-post forum. Or hide forums altogether unless a user is subscribed. Like everything with PayToUpgrade, you have plenty of options on how to monetize your site!
