Important Update for JFBConnect

Today, JFBConnect v2.6.2 was released.  This version has some important updates to conform to, and work with, Facebook's revised privacy policies that will go into effect in July.  This has also given us the opportunity to change some of the permission requests to be more inline with how our subscribers have asked them to work.

The biggest change is that now the settings for "Request Email Permission" and "Request Post To Wall Permission" have been changed to "Require Email Permission" and "Require Post To Wall Permission".  Now you can prevent users from logging in via Facebook if they don't want to provide their real, or Facebook proxy, email address.  Same goes for the post to wall permission.

In addition to these (configurable) required permissions, a 2nd set of optional permissions is now presented to the user based on what information you want to import into their Community Builder, JomSocial, or Kunena profiles.  For instance, to import "About Me" and "Hometown" information, there are 2 separate permissions required.  All of these optional permissions are shown in one convenient Allow/Don't Allow dialog box.

In all, this should make your Facebook user's happier as they can choose to allow their profile to be imported (this is required by Facebook) and you can choose to only allow user's that will provide some means to contact them via email.
