Service Providers

Integrating with other extensions and using quality templates is just one piece of the puzzle for a great site. Finding great services and tools that you trust is also important to maintain a stable website. Here is a list of services and products that will help.

Sendy is a self-hosted newsletter solution that lets you send email 100x cheaper than cloud solutions like MailChimp or Constant Contact. Sendy has a 1-time price of $59 for the software and then you use Amazon's Simple Email Service (SES) to send each email for $1 / 10,000 emails. We moved to using Sendy for our newsletters, and instead of paying almost $200 per month, as we previously were, we now spend under $10.

SourceCoast provides a free Sendy integration extension for Joomla.

SiteGround hosting offers super fast shared hosting with plans starting at around $5/month. They primarily focus on hosting for Joomla, Magento and Wordpress based sites and have servers optimized for sites using these CMS's. As a bonus, all Joomla sites hosted with them come with a free version of sh404SEF Lite!

SiteGround is also very involved in the Joomla community and sponsor multiple Joomla Days and other events around the globe.

WiredTree is who we choose to host SourceCoast.com. They have great prices on high-powered servers with an excellent SLA agreement (meaning no downtime). They are also a fully managed service provider, which means you don't have to administer anything. Submit a ticket and have PHP upgraded.. in minutes! It makes running a website fun instead of a chore.
