Check if you have the System - Cache plugin enabled. If so, move it to the last ordering (highest number) and clear your cache... or, disable it temporarily.I am also having an odd problem where sometimes the LinkedIn button is not on the core Joomla login page and instead I am seeing the code {JLinkedIn} displaying on the page where the button should be. I will keep playing to see if I can figure out what is causing that. It is placing the LinkedIn button below instead of to the right. That is probably set in the JFBC Connect Component?
Yeah, it's interesting times. It's very easy to add a lot of simple features, but we'll always have the really advanced integration with more cool stuff coming soon. Just like every extension (or Joomla itself), you use what you need and hopefully can disable whatever you don'tRight now it seems like so many components are building in their own Social Networking.
Orlando's the hot part of Florida too.. Not to say I'm out and about every day (it's always low/mid 90's).. but it is nice to at least be able to go out!I can certainly understand moving to Florida to escape the Texas heat. I was in Orlando last week and even there is was cooler than in Austin.
Actually I would love to have your help. I still have it on my pages at drcarney.com set up and displaying in the top left corner. I wasn't able to figure out how to get it to display anywhere else actually and still be in the 'top4' position. Is there a secure way for me to give you administrator access to look? What I was thinking was to put it at the top right but the top left would be OK by me. For some reason the SCLogin is realigning the other modules in the same position 'top4' and so if you had some css change I could add to my custom.css file to level them off I would be grateful. Basically the other modules are being pushed down. Although depending on the order of the modules in 'top4' the other modules can get pushed up or even split onto two rows.It sounds like you're giving up on the SCLogin module. I'm sorry to hear that, but I understand. If you ever want to swing around to it again, we'll gladly help solve any of the issues you're having.
I think that I have it correct now. I did have the System - Cache loading before System - JFBCSystem. At least I think so. In Joomla 3.1 I no longer see the numbers so I know that I have System - Cache as either the last or the first.Check if you have the System - Cache plugin enabled. If so, move it to the last ordering (highest number) and clear your cache... or, disable it temporarily.
Maybe you can give me an idea of how to put in an override that would put the two buttons on the same line? I would also LOVE to get the two buttons to display on the regular Registration page.As for the location, we simply add it to the bottom of the login page automatically. If you want it somewhere specific, you'd need create a template override and add the login button wherever you want it. Our 'automated' system is effective, but not necessarily perfect for every user.
I hate to keep saying wait, but I think this will be much easier with JFBConnect v5.1. With that, you'll be able to add the {JFBCLogin} tag and it will automatically show the prettier image-button login buttons for Facebook, G+ or LinkedIn. They will also default to being horizontal (as well as responsive so they can go vertical if necessary). While you can do it now, you'd likely need to make some updates in a week with that release. If it's urgent, I can gladly help you now.. otherwise, just respond here in a week and we'll give you all the details you need.Maybe you can give me an idea of how to put in an override that would put the two buttons on the same line? I would also LOVE to get the two buttons to display on the regular Registration page.
