When I first installed SC Login I set the Joomla Login Redirection URL to a particular page.
I have now  set Joomla Login Redirection URL tp SAME PAGE. However, when people login they are still directed to the original page I set when I installed and set up the module.
Even if I set Joomla Login Redirection URL to another page, it still re-directs to the original page I specified.
I thought it might be cache problem, but clearing the cache makes no difference.
The Joomla Logout Redirection URL works perfectly.
Our users can logon from any page on our site.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance... David

Hi,
I have the same issue here.
I have created a module and integrated the "same page" configuration, but, it still goes to home page...

Sorry for the delay in response.

* What versions of Joomla and SCLogins are you using, so that I can try to reproduce the behavior?
* Can you provide a URL of a page where the module is so that I can look at how the return is set up and see the activity on the page.
* Do you have any redirection extensions such as sh404 that are enabled?

Hi Melisa,
We are running SC login ver 9.01.190
Joomla is 3.10.4
You can see the login page at cirenopenair.org.uk
I can send you a temporay login details if that would help as well
Thanks for taking a look at this issue
PS We are planning to move to Joomla 4 in early 2022
Kind regards
David

Hi,
you point the thing.
The login failed because of failed login, and redirect to defaut plugin login rather than staying on the page or returning to the right page...

Hi Jersan
"you point the thing.

Is this referring just to your problem or both our problems....a bit confused???

David,

If you could send me credentials, that would be helpful. If possible, admin credentials would be the best so I can look through the module settings. You can use the Contact Us at the top of the page.

Jersan,
SCLogin uses the Joomla users component to login. We simply pass the login credentials to that component. When the user fails to log in, com_users then chooses where to redirect to input login credentials again.

Thank you for the credentials David.

What I'm seeing on your page is different than going to the home page. I think that SCLogin is setting the login return correctly, but that something else on the site is redirecting to a page for the logged in user's swim bookings.

With same page selected, here's my scenario:

1. I go to a subpage cirenopenair.org.uk/news/29-news/43-can-you-volunteer
2. Looking at the source, we've set the return for the login task to
<input type="hidden" name="return" value="aHR0cHM6Ly9jaXJlbm9wZW5haXIub3JnLnVrL25ld3MvMjktbmV3cy80My1jYW4teW91LXZvbHVudGVlcg==">
3. If you use base64decode.org, the decoded string for that value is cirenopenair.org.uk/news/29-news/43-can-you-volunteer, the same page that we're on. With Same Page as the option you've set in SCLogin, this is correct.
4. However, when I perform the login, I'm redirected to cirenopenair.org.uk/my-swim-bookings.
5. Looking at the network activity on the page, something is redirecting the login. I'm not familiar enough with the extensions/plugins on your site, but I'd look into there.

Are you seeing different behavior than this?

Hi Melissa,
First of all, BIG APOLOGY.... My fault for the issue!!!!. I started looking at plugins and other components. We use EasyProfile (www.easy-profile.com/)
In the Easy Profile configuration there are 2 settings for Re direct after 1st login and re-direct on login (2nd and subsequent logins) these were set to My Swim Page (which we also set up in SC Login when we first installed).
So, what was happening is that Easy Profile was setting the page after SC Login, hence any changes to SC Login re-direct were being ignored. I have now turned these off in EasyProfile and SC login re direct works as it should. I have attached a screen shot in case any other user has a similar problem
Again, my apologies for not looking closer to home!
Kind regards and thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Very much appreciated.
David
