I need for my login link to go to the login page not a popup please.

where would I change the link? I know i have to be overlooking it in the login.php file.

If you want to use the Login button to go to the a Login page that's part of another component (such as Joomla Users component, JomSocial, etc), then you should not be using the SCLogin module. You would want to use a direct menu link to that extension.
