I'm sorry that I'm not yet familiar with the semantics of Facebook apps.

It appears that fb users can sign in & have comments on the website go to their facebook timelines, but I can't tell if FBConnect will pull Facebook Group page posts onto our church website. It would give non-fb users in the congregation access to the group's posts just by going to the website.

And, I'd like articles to get sent automatically to the fb group page. since there are group members that don't go to the website.

Does FBConnect do this?

Thanks, Jim

Jim,
Unfortunately, Facebook Groups aren't easily supported by Facebook. About 2 years ago, Facebook tried to pretty much remove groups altogether and move all users to Pages. That didn't work out, but they've since really stagnated on implementing tools or any features to integrate Groups into a user's website. Some of the tools they used to have are also no longer available.

Part of the issue is privacy concerns.. basically, if a user posts something to your private group, if you pull it into your public website, there are obvious issues with that. So, the shorter answer is, no, we don't offer that and don't really have any great suggestions on how to do it. Pulling in data from a Facebook Group is possible through the Facebook interface, and JFBConnect would make that easier. However, you'd still need a developer to fetch that information and display it.

If you don't have a developer, I don't think JFBConnect would be right for you, if all you want is Group information on your page.

Hope that helps!
Alex
